Trent Frazier

Mr. Trent Frazier is the Executive Director for Academic Engagement at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  In his role, Mr. Frazier leads the Department’s engagement with the academic community with a focus on building resiliency against the growing threats and challenges, both man-made and natural, that confront U.S. academic institutions.  In addition, Mr.Frazier works to create and maintain an ongoing dialog between DHS leadership and the academic community across a variety of DHS mission areas including immigration and border security, cyber security, emergency preparedness, and terrorism prevention.

Prior to this role, Mr. Frazier has served in a variety of positions across the Department focused on border infrastructure, workforce management, and acquisition and program management.  Through his efforts, Mr. Frazier has received the Secretary’s Award for Excellence and multiple leadership awards across the Department.

He has a Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri at Columbia.  He began his career as a Presidential Management Fellow and has since been a fellow in the Harvard Senior Executive Fellows Program.
